ABOUT INGRID

Hello.
I'm Ingrid Corrales, AMFT #112695
Pre-licensed Clinician & Postpartum Support International Basic and Advanced-Trained
Supervised by Ashleigh Sorenson, LMFT #88863
She/Her
Specialties: Women and couples during pregnancy and the post-partum period; individuals and couples coping with life adjustments, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
My personal approach as a therapist has always been focused on the power of the human connection. I believe, by nature, we are social beings and were not designed to suffer in silence and feel so alone with our innermost challenges. I strive to offer my clients a space to feel heard, understood, and accepted. I help clients reflect on what it is that they really want to achieve from therapy and work towards those goals together.
I work with clients on difficulties ranging from trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and family conflicts, issues from childhood, grief and loss, to life changes and stress.
I have a special interest and training in working with women and men during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
As a mother myself, I know first-hand how this time can be filled with uncertainties, feelings of vulnerability, inadequacy, guilt, and isolation. I am invested in supporting individuals and couples who may be struggling with the huge adjustments and challenges that this time can bring.
I am a strong advocate for mental health and have been working in the field for over 10 years in both the U.K. and the U.S. I graduated with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018 from California State University Long Beach.
I welcome working with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life, whatever the issue or challenge may be.
I enjoy the simple things in life, being outdoors and in nature, cooking, spending time with those I feel most myself and at ease with, being curious, and continually learning about anything and everything!
