Specialties: LGBTQ+ youth and adults, gender identity, complex trauma, neurodivergent adults, Somatic Experiencing
I am exclusively providing telehealth sessions at this time.
My approach to healing is collaborative. You are the expert on your own experiences and I am here to offer you support, curiosity, and tools for you to utilize in your healing journey. I’m trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. The care that I provide is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirmative, anti-ableist, anti-racist, and celebrates neurodiversity. I also utilize Somatic Experiencing techniques in my work, a therapeutic modality which supports clients in releasing trauma that is stored in the body’s nervous system.
I came to this work through my own healing journey. I myself have benefited immensely from the healing relationships that I have had with past therapists and have experienced firsthand the nervous system’s ability to restore resilience and regulation. I am passionate about supporting clients who are recovering from trauma in attaining a greater sense of regulation and calm in their nervous systems, in order to lead happier, more fulfilled lives.
I graduated from California State University, East Bay with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, have been practicing psychotherapy since 2016, and became a licensed psychotherapist in 2020.
I specialize in working with youth and adults who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and are exploring issues around gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and coming out. I also specialize in working with individuals who have a history of trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression. I have experience working with and am passionate about supporting individuals who identify as neurodivergent. I am kink and poly friendly and have relevant training to support my work with these populations.
I offer traditional talk-therapy and utilize Somatic Experiencing techniques for those who are interested. I am happy to incorporate music, art, and movement into sessions for youth and adults alike.
When I’m not being a therapist, I’m spending time with my family and cats, taking long walks at the beach, exploring local neighborhoods and parks, camping in my family’s ’87 Vanagon Syncro, making music, creating art, and reading.
If it sounds like I may be the right therapist for you, reach out today for a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your healing journey.
